Held in the Rectory garden on 21st July, it was a huge success - we had new families, our 'graduates' - Buggy Praise children now at school... and even a 6 foot teddy bear called Jeff!
The children helped with the story - Noah and the ark, very appropriate for a dull start to the day. But the rain held off, the sun came out and so fun was had by all on the water slide and in the paddling pool
Huge thanks to all the helpers and parents who have been involved this year - we run Buggy Praise and Children's Activities broadly in line with the school year so we are now on our Summer break.

Buggy Praise in the Park on 16th June
was a great success. Ten children plus their parents and carers came for songs, praise and games. We were fortunate to have lovely weather and even managed an ice cream!
Our activity morning today (June 6th 2015)was based around the theme of Holidays and the story by Nicholas Allan.
Lots of fun and the launch of our St Michael boat. holiday ice cream was enjoyed by all.

Buggy Praise Easter Picnic
A fun time was had by all at the picnic on Tuesday 7th April. The children made a beautiful Easter garden with Helen's help then took part in telling the Story of Easter.
Buggy Praise Has A Surprise Visitor
A big surprise for us all as Bishop Jonathan called into Buggy Praise today (17/3/15). He joined in an encore of our hometime song with the children then had a look around our beautiful church.

Advent sunday -
30th november 2014
During our Parish Communion, we will mark the start of Advent by sending out The Posada into the community.
The box contains Mary, Joseph and the donkey and they set out around Thornhill and Whitley, staying in a different place each night. The day after, the box is sent on to the next stop.
We
have been running our Posada for more than five years and all the
people who take part still love it when the beautiful knitted figures
stay to play with the family.
We also have a book
accompanying the box in which everyone is welcome to write, draw or
place photos of the overnight stay. In January we display the book so
everyone can see what our local families and schools did to remember
this special time of reflection and preparation for Christmas.
Do come along to the service to be part of the start of a wonderful journey.
