Lord and Lady Savile visit Thornhill . On the 3rd August 2012 Lord and Lady Savile visited the Rectory Park where Lady Savile planted a tree to commemorate the restoration of parts of the park spearheaded by the Friends of Rectory Park. They the visited the savile Chapel and had afternoon tea with guests. Lord Savile was particularly impressed with the work done so far to conserve the ancient artefacts in the chapel.
